All tours are private. Advance reservation/ prepayment required. For online reservations, 2 days/48 hours advance booking is needed. To book a tour less than 2 days in advance: Call or Email us to inquire about availability.

Private Wine Adventures | Custom Wine Tours | Private Driver Service:

Group of 2-5 people: $79/hour. (Per hour, not per person.) For Custom Wine Tours: Add Itinerary Planning fee of $79.

Group of 2-5: $169/person.

Private Downtown Walk & Wine | Beer Tour:

Group of 10-25 people: $90 (beer) to $100 (wine) per person.

Our Tour Vehicle

On all of our small group tours, we pick you up at your lodging (or other pre-arranged meeting place) in Napa or Sonoma. As part of this private tour service, we provide round-trip transportation. The owner will serve as your private guide and driver.

 

Our tour vehicle is a 2020 black SUV with 3 rows and black leatherette seats. In addition to our driver, up to 5 adult guests can comfortably ride in the vehicle. Amenities include USB chargers at every seat and rear climate controls. We provide bottled drinking water for each guest. Unlike many other tour operators, we do not charge any fuel fee or automatic gratuity. We're taking health & safety precautions to reduce the risk of COVID-19 including sanitizing seats (see FAQs below).

 

Frequently asked questions

Are these private tours or group tours?


Our tours are private, for your group of 2-5 people only. We only accept one tour reservation per day. You pick the date and the type of tour you want, and will receive our full attention.




Are tours offered 7 days/week, year-round?


Yes! We offer tours 7 days/week, if we are not already booked that day. Custom Wine Tours and Art & Wine Tours are offered year-round. Some Hike & Wine Tours | Hike & Beer Tours and some Elevated Hike & Wine Tours are offered year-round, weather permitting. Other Hike & Wine | Beer Tours and Elevated Hike & Wine Tours are offered March through November. Downtown Walk & Wine | Beer Tours are offered March through November.




Where do you take us for the guided hikes?


On Hike & Wine | Beer Tours and Elevated Hike & Wine Tours we take you on one of our favorite trails in Napa | Sonoma (in a State Park, Regional Park or wliderness area) for a 2 to 3 hour guided hike. See Hike & Wine Tour page, Elevated Hike & Wine Tour page, or Hike & Beer Tour page for detailed descriptions, including geographical area and level of difficulty. Note: please choose a guided hike that matches your fitness level and desired degree of challenge. If in doubt, select a less challenging option.

For Rates: see Rates section. What's included? Unlike many other local tour companies, we do not charge any fuel fee or automatic gratuity. Rates for Wine Adventures | Custom Wine Tours | Private Driver Service include: Pick-up & Drop-off at your lodging (or meeting point); Round-Trip Transport in a 3-row SUV within Napa or Sonoma; Services of a local guide/driver; Bottled drinking water & hand sanitizer. We also offer to take photos of you with a digital SLR camera and email them to you as a souvenir. Not included: Wine tasting fees, lunch, and (optional) driver gratuity. For Custom Wine Tours, an additional 1 hour is charged for itinerary planning. Rates for Hike & Wine | Hike & Beer | Art & Wine | Elevated Hike & Wine Tours include: Pick-up & Drop-off at your lodging (or meeting point); Itinerary planned/appointments made for you; Round-Trip Transport in a 3-row SUV within Napa or Sonoma; Services of a local guide/driver/hike leader; Bottled drinking water & hand sanitizer. We also offer to t ake photos of you with a digital SLR camera and email them to you as a souvenir. Hike & Wine | Hike & Beer Tours | Elevated Hike & Wine Tours also include: Complimentary souvenir T-shirt; State / Regional Park admission fee; and use of (optional) trekking poles. Most Art & Wine Tours also include: art gallery/museum entrance fees. Not included: Wine | beer tasting fees, lunch, and (optional) driver gratuity. If you select a Napa tour but need to be picked up in Sonoma [or vice-versa], a $79 Cross-Valley Transport fee will apply). What should I bring?


Bring your appetite for wine, food, fun and adventure! A hat/cap and sunglasses are needed, since we get a lot of sunshine here! Beginning in 2020, to reduce the risk of COVID-19 you'll also need a face mask/covering for health & safety and as required by the County. Social distancing and frequent hand washing/sanitizing is also required (we provide hand sanitizer if you forget yours). For Hike & Wine Tours | Elevated Hike & Wine Tours | Hike & Beer Tours only, also bring: a hat/cap and sunglasses; sunscreen if your skin burns easily; and comfortable attire for hiking, including footwear with good soles. support and traction. On those hiking tours, we will also provide: bottled drinking water, and (optional) use of trekking poles.




What's the cancellation policy?


For Wine Adventures, Custom Wine Tours, Hike & Wine | Beer, Art & Wine, and Elevated Hike & Wine Tours (2-5 people): If you cancel your reservation at least 1 week prior to the scheduled tour, we will refund your payment, minus a $35/person cancellation fee. The itinerary planning fee for Custom Wine Tours is non-refundable. If you cancel less than 1 week prior to the tour date, no refund will be provided. Note: wineries, caterers and art galleries/museums have their own policies on cancellations and refunds. So if you have pre-paid (or we have prepaid on your behalf) for wine tastings, meals or art gallery/museum fees, those payments may or may not be refundable. For Corporate | Large Group Tour (Downtown Napa Walk & Wine | Beer Tour): a $500 deposit is required to hold your reservation, and is non-refundable if you cancel. The balance is due no later than 3 weeks prior to tour date. If you cancel (or balance is unpaid) less than 3 weeks prior to the tour date, no refund will be provided.




Does rain/weather cancel a tour?


No. Wine Adventures, Custom Wine Tours and Art & Wine Tours will proceed regardless of rain or hot or cold weather. If you have reserved a Hike & Wine, Hike & Beer, or Elevated Hike & Wine Tour and the weather forecast calls for rain (or extreme heat or cold), we will contact you a few days prior to the tour date. We will not cancel the tour, but will instead gladly substitute one of our other tours (Wine Adventures, Custom Wine Tours or Art & Wine Tours). Note that these tours feature multiple wineries, so you will spend more on wine tasting fees.




Is transportation provided, and what vehicle will we be riding in?

What health & safety precautions are you taking to reduce the risk of COVID-19?


In order to protect the health and safety of our tour guests and our guide/driver, we are complying with guidelines from the CDC, the State of California, Napa County and Sonoma County. All tours are private, and winery or brewery appointments are private/by appointment. Safety measures include: tour guide/driver checks his temperature before each tour, frequently washes/sanitizes hands, and wears mask/face covering (permitted to remove mask temporarily outdoors, only while maintaining 6 ft. or more of social distance). Vehicle has a plexiglass safety shield between the driver's seat and rear seats. Vehicle car seats, headrests, armrests, door handles, etc. are cleaned/sanitized after each tour. We provide waivers and itineraries by email; rinse off drinking water bottles; provide hand sanitizer; and accept gratuities by credit card instead of cash. Tour guests are required to verify that they have not tested positive for COVID-19 and are not having symptoms (such as fever or persistent cough) which could be indicative of being positive. Guests agree to frequently wash/sanitize their hands (we provide hand sanitizer), and to wear a mask/face covering at all times while inside the tour vehicle and inside buildings such as wineries. When outside the vehicle, they agree to keep a social distance of 6 ft. or more from the guide and other people (excluding other members of their private tour group.)
